On nearly 20 weeks.

Dear Noah,

Are you really almost 20 weeks old? I suspect you may be a couple days younger than that, the doctors weren't sure because you were just a tad smaller than average when they measured you during a previous ultrasound. They decided to keep your original due date anyways (March 10th!). It's a little hard to pinpoint the exact day you were conceived. I'm sure you will squirm in disgust at the thought of you being conceived by your dad and I. Haha. In the past couple of days, I've felt little flutters here and there and tiny "pops". I thought I felt something so I placed my hand over that lower spot on my tummy and felt a little thud against my palm. Was that you, baby? Or was it gas? :) I really hope it was you. I can't wait till you start moving more. It's okay if you want to give Mommy little reassuring kicks to let me know you're doing well in there. Not too hard though, okay? Your Grandma and I bought you some little outfits the other day. You are going to look so handsome! Especially in your tiny overalls. I love you.

I'm new at this and still pretty clueless as to what to expect. It doesn't matter how much you read online or in books, going through this whole thing first hand is the only true way to grasp what is going on. On the upside, I've been feeling better than ever lately. I still want to nap a lot but I have more energy than I did before and I haven't felt nauseous in a long time. I have had some cramping in my lower stomach area, especially when I wake up. I was told it is most likely my uterus (amongst other little muscles) stretching. They must be stretching because I am still amazed to look at my stomach lately and see just how much I have truly popped lately! I'm trying to embrace it because this pregnancy is going by fast. Before I know it, we will have a little one in our arms. I have a lot to do to prepare but I can't wait to meet him!
